Hello all...
Realizing how good God is, how He provides just what we need, and how much I have to be thankful for!
1. SOOOO thankful for a three day weekend! Since school started in January, I have worked every Saturday to get as many hours in as possible. This weekend was my first Saturday off! And I get Monday too... It really couldn't get much better. I was very in need of a break! Not that it is really much of one. I guess this is the weekend to get all of the wedding stuff done! Saturday I worked on decorations for the reception and I had a hair appointment and Kristy practiced on my hair for the wedding. That was so fun! I get more and more excited every day! It seems so much more real now that I am actually getting to get stuff done. Today we picked out tuxes and bought Matt's ring and have been working on invitations. They absolutely have to be out by Tuesday! So, looks like we will be working on them tomorrow too...
2. Thankful for a new house! I love it, will be so much happier when it is unpacked, but that will come in time. It is so nice to knowing I will not have to move for at least a few years.. And in a little less than six weeks I will get to share the house with the most amazing man I have ever met...
3. Speaking of that amazing man... Matt got a new job! He will graduate from Devry the end of June and so he had kind of started to look. He had a good job at the school district, but there was really no room for advancement - either in position or salary. So- he applied for one job and went on an interview - and I guess they must have really liked him because they called him back - and offered him even more than he was asking for! We had been really praying because with my school it is just too much to work full time - I think I cried every night for a lot of last semester because I was just SO overwhelmed. So- we were praying that he would find something that would pay enough that I could only work part time. And God answered even greater than we could have imagined. He starts on Wednesday, and is SO excited! He will be working for Pittney Bowes (they make the postage machines for businesses and do document imaging) as a Network Analyst. AND - they have no problem with him taking off a week for the honeymoon and said he could even get paid for it. GOD IS SO GOOD!
4. School is out for the summer! And I got A's on both of my finals! Was a little worried about them because they were cumulative and we have a much tighter grading scale, the absolute lowest you can get on a final is a 75%. Even if you had an A in the class, if you get less than a 75% on the final, you fail the class... Not that I ever get less than a 75... but it is just so much pressure... I figure if I can make it through this semester, then I can handle anything!
5. Thankful that my tailbone is finally feeling a little better! (If you read Amanda's site I fell down the stairs a few weeks ago) I still have problems sitting down for long periods of time... but the pain is nowhere near where it was for those first couple of weeks...
Alright - enough writing for tonight! Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!
